How it’s Made
Here’s a step-by-step process for creating your Imagination Institution Sublimation Design Shirt with a sparkle vinyl layer:
1. Design Creation
Begin by sketching out the design idea based on Figment's Imagination Institute theme. Use vibrant, playful colors and elements that evoke imagination and creativity.
2. Color Matching
Check the design colors and adjust the design colors if necessary to ensure they complement and stand out against the sparkle base.
Print a test is done to check that the sublimation colors transfer vibrantly onto the shirt’s material.
3. Cutting the sparkle vinyl and placing on the shirt
Position the cut sparkle vinyl on the shirt
4. Pressing the Sublimation Design
Place the sublimation design (printed side down) over the sparkle vinyl layer, aligning it precisely.
Set the heat press to 385-400°F (195-205°C) and press for 45-60 seconds with medium pressure. This process will transfer the design onto the sparkle vinyl, creating a dazzling affect
5. Final Inspection and Care Instructions
Check for any areas where the sublimation may need touch-ups. If everything looks good, your Imagination Institution shirt is ready!
care instructions: remind the wearer to wash inside out on cold and lay flat to dry (or use a low tumble setting) to preserve the color and sparkle vinyl. Avoid high heat, as it can cause fading or peeling over time.
